Service Plans

We Offer Three Service Plans for you to Choose From

1. Founder's Plan

With this deluxe plan, we take the complete responsibility for your residential heating system, gas or oil fired water heater. A. E. Robinson Oil Co. will repair or replace, at its discretion, all parts necessary including complete replacement of your furnace, boiler or (oil fired) water tank. After a brief inspection by one of A. E. Robinson's technicians, you can become a member of the Founder's Plan. The Founder's Plan will not cover #2 oil or blend used in outside tanks and will not cover antifreeze replacement, or loss of, for any reason. In addition, if you have a furnace and oil fired hot water heater and wanted a Founder's Plan to cover both units, two separate Founder's Plans are required. Please read over general conditions for all items not covered.

2. Home Comfort Plan

This plan will cover labor and part costs for service calls required on your oil or gas burner and controls during normal business hours. Any service required after normal business hours must be the result of mechanical failure thus causing no heat. Any other service call received during this time period will be billed at the normal rate. The following parts listed below are not covered by the Home Comfort Plan: Heat exchangers, combustion chambers, programmable thermostats, fuel tanks, #2 fuel or blend used in outside tanks, water tanks, coils and coil gaskets, cleaning of domestic coils, replacement of burners, replacement of furnaces or boiler systems. The plan will not cover antifreeze replacement, or loss of, for any reason. Please read over general conditions for all items not covered.

3. Gas Fired Space Heater or Oil & Gas Fired Water Heater

This plan will cover the labor and parts cost for service calls required on your burner and controls during normal business hours. The coverage is the same as the Home Comfort Plan. If you would like the entire heater or water tank covered, the Founder's Plan would be necessary.

Additional Services

TankSure^® Program

Heating oil tanks typically corrode from the inside out. Your tank may look perfectly fine from the outside but it could be wearing excessively thin. The testing (similar to a medical ultrasound) will allow us to give you a sense of security – or advance warning that a problem is on the horizon.

VisiTank^® Monitoring System

We are now offering a monitoring system for your home or business. This will monitor temperature and product level in your oil or propane tank. If for some reason your heating system fails while you are away for the day, week, or month, your home can be safely monitored and tied directly to our computer system every day of the year. Should the temperature drop or the oil level get down too low, you will be assured that our office will be notified and that a technician will be on the way. The system is easy to install and is very affordable. This can also be included in your Smart Pay Plan.

Smart Pay Plan

We would encourage you to consider our Smart Pay Plan for this next heating season. The cost of your service plan, The TankSure^® Program, VisiTank^® monitor, heating oil and propane can be spread out over twelve months. The plan is convenient and is no added cost to you. All you have to do is make your payments by the 10th of each month and A. E. Robinson will give you the lowest cash price plus automatic delivery at no extra cost. And again, our Smart Pay Plan customers will have a price cap on all heating oil. You will always receive the lowest price on your oil with payments by the 10th of the month.

General Conditions and Exclusions

1. Customers must purchase their entire year's heating fuel from A. E. Robinson Oil Co.
2. All equipment must meet state codes and be inspected by one of our servicemen.
3. Updates which are necessary for the service plans will be billed at the normal rate.
4. All heating systems with a maximum firing rate of two gallons per hour could qualify for a service plan.
5. Service Plans will be renewed automatically one (1) year from date of issue.
6. A. E. Robinson Oil Co. is not responsible for discovery or removal of asbestos material or performing construction work pertaining to replacement of equipment.
7. All service plans are for normal usage. Policies do not protect against flood, fires, power failures, lightning, switches found in "off" position, or other acts of God.
8. These plans will not cover oil burning equipment that is used to backup solid fuel burning appliances.
9. Solid fuel heating equipment is not covered by service plans.
10. We are equipped to provide emergency service; however, we cannot be liable for any delay or failure to supply service or materials because of conditions beyond our control. In no event shall we be liable for any damage or injury.
11. Power venting units will not be covered under these service plans, and will not cover chimney or power venters connected to your heating unit.
12. These plans will not cover antifreeze replacement, or loss of, for any reason and frozen heat pipes.
13. In addition, the Service Plan may include the TankSure^® Program which provides a corrosion protection agent to prevent corrosion in your tank, tank testing service and the TankSure^® Program Limited Payment. An ultrasonic tank test will be performed by our technician before your tank can be accepted for enrollment in the TankSure^® Program. While we cannot guarantee the prevention of a leak or other failure of your tank, we are providing these new services with the hope that by testing and monitoring, we are offering a long-term proactive tank replacement program for our customers. We recommend that an annual test of your fuel tank be performed. The Company will pay up to $1,000 towards the replacement of your tank in accordance with the terms of the TankSure^® Program Limited Payment in the following situations: if a tank leak occurs due to corrosion once you are on the program, or a tank leak occurs due to a manufacturer's defect or a non-leaking tank is identified for proactive replacement by the TankSure^® Tank Analysis Software. A Tank Replacement Certificate will be provided to you.
14. These plans will not cover radiant heating piping and controls.
15. These plans will not cover Toyo or monitor heaters - oilfired only.
16. These plans will not cover domestic water repairs to include, flushing of coils, coil gaskets, mixing valves, relief valves, expansion tanks, water storage tanks and other water related equipment.
17. Each plan only covers one oil burning appliance. Each unit requires a separate plan.
